There is something to ~LenaAkhumova's command of the medium that makes Old Fence a remarkable addition to our watercolour genre. It could be the articulate rendering, or the dexterity with weaving delicate details... or, more rather the mastery in subtly conveying a deep, perhaps even harrowing emotion. Please enjoy. It's lovely! But, shouldn't it be under "Paintings" instead of "Drawings"?

One of the coolest things I have seen on DA so far.
It´s amazing what can you do with watercolors.
Is this real place somewhere, or did you just make it up? It seems impossible, that you could do something like that without inspiration in reality, but who knows...

Your work is so realistic and moving! Nature is reclaiming the house, you can almost smell the mold, heh.

Oh, I hope you do post tutorials in the near future! I would love to know the method of how you do this!

Tell you the truth I used mostly the cheapest one of WINSOR&NEWTON. I'm not good with the names, but I think it was COTMAN. People asked me about it frequently and got surprised when I told them what I've used. If you use several washes=layers, then never go with WARM colors after COLD ones, otherwise you get mud.
Sometimes I bought better brands on sale, like SENNELIER or GRUMBUCHER, but that was pretty rare. Of course when you have better quality paint you have different feeling as well as with paper.
Sorry for such dull explanetion!!!=D
